Registration

Students currently enrolled in the school must re-register in January for the next school year by submitting a registration form and a non-refundable registration fee. Enrolled families with incoming siblings must submit their students' names at this time before registration is open to the public. A place in the school for your child cannot be guaranteed without the registration form. A registration packet will be sent home prior to Open House. All new families wishing to register in the school may do so for the following school year on the day of the scheduled Open House.

Admission

The order of acceptance for students applying to St. Bernadette School is based on the following criteria:

  • Children of registered, active St. Bernadette parishioners who have siblings in the school.
  • Children of Catholic parents from other parishes that have siblings in the school.
  • Non-Catholic students who have siblings in the school.
  • Children of registered, active parishioners of St. Bernadette Church.
  • Children of parishioners of Resurrection parish, registered and approved by the pastor of Resurrection Church.
  • Catholic children outside of both St. Bernadette and Resurrection parishes.
  • Children who are not in the above categories will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.

In all cases, admissions are at the discretion of the principal who acts within the above guidelines.

Students will not be denied admission to the school on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin.

Enrollment

All newly enrolled students will be accepted on a probationary period for a period of three months.

The education of a student is a partnership between the parents and the school. Just as the parent has the right to withdraw a child if desired, the school administration reserves the right to require the withdrawal of a student if the administration determines that the partnership is irretrievably broken.
